The Wearable Purple.

Y'know how everyone always says brown eyes should wear purple eyeshadow? But what happens if you're eyes are SO dark that they might as well be black? All colours go with black right? Just a thought.
I'm scared of colored eyeshadow in general. I used to be more adventurous when I first started this blog.. I was all about the blues and the greens, but as I've grown older, colour scares me a bit, especially in Eyeshadow form.
Enter Makeup Geek "Sensuous" eyeshadow - A purple with gold and silver shimmer, so subtle that it can be considered a neutral.
In the picture, I have a day/night eye. During the day I just wore it with tons of mascara, and in the evening, I added a bit of winged liner and smoked out the bottom lashline a little.

Products Used - Daytime
MAC Groundwork Paintpot
Inglot 357 Matte (crease)
Makeup Geek Sensuous Eyeshadow
Max Factor Lash Extension Effect Mascara

Maybelline Gel Liner
Makeup Geek Corrupt (Lower lashline, outer half)
Estee Lauder Stay on Shadow Paint in Chained (inner half)

Do you like coloured eyeshadow? How do you wear them?

  1. I'm terrified of colored shadows - ironically people have told me I have the coloring to suit colorful shades but it's so much easier to work with neutrals. I'm trying to get better at it, though!

Speaking of color - have you seen the new Urban Decay electric palette? Talk about color!

    1. Oh my yes, the UD palette is too much for me :P
But I think on fashion shoots, it would be the bomb.

    2. I'm thinking if you use them with a nice boring neutral it would make them a little bit more wearable... of course I'm going to have to test that idea out personally first before making any rash decisions :P
